ABF Raises Rates By 5.4 Percent

FORT SMITH, AR — Less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight System will increase general rates and charges by 5.4 percent later this month.

Rates will go up by about 5.4 percent effective March 24, but the effect on specific lanes and shipments will vary.

FedEx previously announced increases to shipping rates for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground, effective Jan. 6.The increase is smaller than last year's, when FedEx increased freight rates by 4.5 percent, effective July.

ABF Freight System offers services all through Canada, the US as well as in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
