Alliance Clutches, Brake Drums

Alliance Truck Parts, a brand of Daimler Trucks North America, recently expanded its clutch line to include four medium-duty clutches as well as seven updated EZ-Assist clutches for the heavy-duty market.

The company has also added to its brake line by way of a new 16.5×5-in. reduced stopping distance (RSD) steer-axle brake drum for vehicles up to and including a 14,700-lb gross-axle-weight rating.

The new clutches are all now compatible with newer model-year engines, and they’re said to be more durable with improved aftermarket facing, durable power threads on adjusting rings, and quick adjusting mechanisms.

All Alliance clutches are backed by a 1-year/unlimited-mile warranty serviceable at more than 800 locations including Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star and Thomas Built Buses dealerships in the U.S. and Canada, plus Travel Centers of America and Petro locations.

The new Alliance RSD drums are cast and machined in the U.S. to meet high quality standards, ensure maximum safety, and achieve high performance and durability standards, the company says. The drums are machined for a durable and superior brake surface that prevents ‘shoe slap’ and vibration. They’re FMVSS 121- compliant and meet or exceed current OE and SAE standards, and they too are backed by a 1-year/unlimited-mile, nationwide warranty.
