Allison TC10 automatics for PACCAR

Allison TC10 fully automatic transmissions will be available on trucks including the Kenworth T680 and T880 and Peterbilt 567 and 579 later this year, supporting applications that need up to 1,850 lb-ft of torque and Gross Combination Weights up to 110,000 pounds.

Designed for regional and linehaul work, the transmission has a twin-countershaft design optimized for engine downspeeding and fuel economy. Its torque converter also multiples torque at launch, enabling lower gear ratios while still maintaining performance, Peterbilt says.

The TC10 has no scheduled maintenance in the first 800,000 kilometers of service, and comes with a five-year/1.2-million-kilometer warranty that covers all individual components.
