Grey Rock friction material from Haldex
Haldex Brake Systems has introduced a friction material the company says was specifically developed with fleets in mind. Grey-Rock GF2008-1 is designed for 20K GAWR applications, where loads and use do not vary from haul to haul. Used under these conditions, Haldex says, GF2008-1 will provide fleets with the best stopping power in its class; good, consistent lining life, low sensitivity to speed, high friction stability and improved performance when coupled with anti-lock braking systems. Low thermal expansion (swell) also provides a material to be used with automatic brake adjusters.
