OTA-shipper seminar to cover regulatory issues and market forces

TORONTO-- Shippers and carriers should mark you calendars now for an info-packed OTA seminar entitled Regulatory and Market Forces Impacting Trucking Industry Operations.
The session, to take place June 20 in Mississauga is a joint presentation of the OTA and Canadian Industrial Transportation Association. It is designed to apprise the whole supply chain of new trucking regulations and the impact they will have on trucking fleets and their customers.
The seminar will cover: Changes to Canadian Truck Driver Hours of Service; Cross Border programs (ACE, FAST, CTPAT); Changes to Trucking Equipment (new environment regulations); Load Securement Fuel Prices & Surcharges; Current & Future Capacity Issues (carriers and shippers exchange views).
Members of the trucking industry -- particularly sales professionals -- are encouraged to bring their customers. Clients will be given an overview of the hottest issues facing the trucking industry that will impact shippers. OTA Carrier Members who bring a shipper customer may attend this seminar for only $100. Shipper customers must pay full registration fee, however,
The seminar is offered to OTA, CITA and Importers Exporters Canada (IE) members for $225 per person ($450 per person for all others) plus GST.
