SIMCOE, Ont. -- Fanshawe College in Simcoe, Ont. continues its driver education partnership with Kim Richardson Transportation Specialists.
Effective this week, KRTS will be offering a four-week Professional Dispatch Course at their Fanshawe College Campus that includes in-class, computer base training, e-learning, and also has an in-truck component.
"Everyone talks about the shortage of drivers in our industry," says Kim Richardson, president of KRTS. "There has been little concentration on what type of internal pressure this will put on the trucking companies and the need for qualified entry level dispatchers."
MacKinnon Transport, L.E. Walker, Laidlaw, OK Transportation, Bison Transportation and Labatt Breweries, are a few of the companies which have used the program.
KRTS, in partnership with Fanshawe College in Simcoe, now offers two accredited programs, the Class AZ PTDI (Professional Truck Driving Institute) Certified Driver Course and now the Professional Dispatch Program.
