McLEAN, Va. -- The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) isn’t sitting idle on the value of auxiliary power units (APUs) and has updated its pricing guide to reflect the technology.
The ATD/NADA Official Commercial Truck Guide has been enhanced with a comprehensive set of values for APUs, beginning with the December 2008 edition. The new APU values provide dealers, finance companies, insurance companies, fleets and other industry professionals with timely pricing information on an increasingly popular component of the used truck market.
"Fuel price volatility and government regulations have made APUs hot items," says Chris Visser, editor of the Commercial Truck Guide. "Our sales data clearly suggests that APUs contribute to the value of a used truck."
Building on a 75-year history, NADA’s editorial team collects and analyzes over one million combined wholesale and retail automotive-related transaction prices per month.
