SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, -- According to local media reports, a truck driver who rammed his vehicle into a woman’s car on U.S. Highway 28 last week told the cops God had advised him that “she needed to be taken off the road.”
His truck reportedly rear-ended the car. There was no description of how she was driving. Both vehicles crossed the median before coming to a stop and both drivers received minor injuries.
According to the online edition of the San Antonio Express-News, Bexar County Sheriff’s office spokesman Kyle Coleman said, if nothing else, God helped them both survive.
"He [the truck driver] just said God said she wasn't driving right, and she needed to be taken off the road," said Coleman
"God must have been with them, 'cause any other time, the severity of this crash, it would have been a fatal."
Despite the inventive divine intervention, the judge ordered a psychiatric examination for the driver.
