READING, Pa. -- Brenntag North America recently conducted a three week Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) sales certification program with ten participants.
The course focused on solutions for customers requiring DEF in 2010 and beyond, including equipment solutions and logistics. The participants also visited the Mack Truck Lehigh Valley manufacturing plant, in Macungie, Pa.
To meet 2010 EPA regulations in North America, most producers of diesel engines have announced plans to use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, requiring DEF.
Brenntag is the largest distributor of DEF in the world, having gained global experience with the distribution of AdBlue in Europe, where similar emission directives have been in effect since 2005.
The supplier is investing in a dedicated DEF sales and marketing team that will promote the TerraCair brand of DEF.
