OKOTOKS, Alta. -- The Mullen Group has signed an agreement to acquire LTL carrier Hi-Way 9 Express and its subsidiaries, Load-Way and Streamline Logistics.
The companies are private, family-owned corporations based in Drumheller, Alta., which have been in business since 1969.
Three key family members involved in Hi-Way 9, President Dean Kohut, President; Operations VP Darrell Kohut, and Heather Colberg, VP, Administration, will remain with Hi-Way 9 to oversee its day-to-day operations.
Mullen says the acquisition is expected to add $50 million to its consolidated revenues and generate "operating margins consistent with the other businesses in Mullen's trucking and logistics segment."
