HALIFAX -- Steer clear of the MacDonald Bridge in Halifax this weekend if you don’t want to be delayed.
Fireworks will be launched from the bridge Saturday night, starting at 10 p.m.
As a result the sidewalk of the bridge will be closed from 12 noon and the bridge itself will close at 7:30 p.m. and remain closed until 11 p.m.
On Sunday, the bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to noon to host the 17th annual MACPASS Miles road race.
And on Monday, it will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for two free public events: the 2011 Pepsi Natal Day Parade (10 a.m. to noon) and the Halifax Harbour Bridges Bridge Walk (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
