GREENSBORO, NC – John Walsh has been named vice president of marketing for Mack Trucks, Inc.
The transition should be a natural one for the media-savvy Walsh who's moving from his role as Mack's director of media and public relations.
In his new role, Walsh will lead the development and implementation of strategies to drive product sales, safeguard and improve the image of the Mack brand, and grow Mack's merchandising and brand licensing efforts.
Prior to joing Mack, Walsh headed a firm that specialized in the production of media for corporate and government clients, and served as a televsion producer in the public affairs office of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration from 1982 to 1994.
Walsh has a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and an M.S. degree from Boston University’s School of Communications.
Walsh succeeds Michael Reardon who was named Mack vice president of sales back in July.
