TORONTO — Canuck drivers can be divided into five distinct types, as determined by a recent survey conducted by Michelin, and these personalities impact winter driving.
The five are:
-
Worrywarts, (19%), who lack confidence at the wheel and do not find driving pleasurable;
-
Daredevils (14%), who love thrilling experiences;
-
Fast and Confident (22%) who like feeling in control but aren’t afraid to go fast;
-
Cautious Pragmatists (24%), who treat driving as a form of transportation only;
-
And, Aficionados (21%), who love the world of cars and treat their vehicles well.
According to the experts at Michelin (this is true btw) the most Daredevils are in Ontario, where they comprise 25 percent of the drivers, as compared to other provinces.
(In Michelin Canada’s home province of Quebec, the drivers probably didn’t slow down long enough to be surveyed.-ed.)
Depending on what kind of driver you are determines what kind of assistance you might need but Michelin says it can help out.
