MISSISSAUGA, ON — When's the last time you saw the positive side of trucking in the media?
Last year at the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association's annual conference, Shaw Tracking announced that they were developing commercials in an effort to build awareness of the importance of the Canadian trucking industry.
It's about time, we say.
The first commercial premiered on March 22, and focuses on “If You Got It, A Truck Brought It"
The second commercial will hit the tube later this spring, and aims to support the industry's recruitment efforts.
“The trucking industry is the backbone to our economy, every consumer product is delivered by a truck,” said Mike Ham, vice president, Shaw Tracking. “We are dedicated and committed to taking a leadership role in reinforcing the positive attributes of the Canadian transportation industry.”
Shaw has been working closely with the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) on the commercials, and hopes that with enough air time, the Canadian public's awareness of trucks and trucking will expand beyond this guy.
The commercials can be viewed on Global and other Shaw Media specialty networks, as well as Shaw TV channels across the country.
