MISSISSAUGA – Lowe’s Home Improvement — which knows a thing or two about excellent customer service — also knows good trucking when it sees it.
At the home-improvement company’s annual carrier conference, Lowe’s recognized Mississauga-based TST Overland Express and its Richmond, VA.-based partner Estes Express Lines with Gold and Silver Carrier awards.
TST and Estes have been working in a close and somewhat unique alliance since 1996. The two companies not only have integrated operations, but also marketing and technology to leverage their respective strengths and deliver cross-border freight quickly and efficiently.
As a result, customers need only one PRO number, one invoice, and a single tracking system for all shipments across the U.S.A., Mexico and Canada.
“Estes and TST Overland Express were able to create a new approach to doing business that fundamentally changed the industry and our two companies,” said Rob Estes, CEO. “The real winner is the customer who enjoys faster, cost-efficient freight delivery.”
“The Estes and TST Overland Express alliance is successful because at the heart of the relationship is our shared belief that the number-one priority is to deliver the best customer service possible. If we take care of our customers, we succeed,” said TST Overland President Rob O’Reilly.
Launched in 1928 and now a division of TransForce, TST Overland has grown into an industry-leading LTL carrier with more than 1,000 employees and over 1,500 power and trailer units.
Estes is a full-service freight transportation provider offering an entire range of shipping solutions. Founded in 1931 by W.W. Estes, the company is still owned by the Estes family.
