COLUMBUS, IN – It's unprecedented, says ACT Research.
All the month-over-month comparisons — volume, price, miles and age — for all weight groups of used trucks improved in July," ACT reported yesterday.
“Up until a few months ago, most dealers cited a lack of inventory as the primary factor holding them back from selling more units,” reported Steve Tam, vice president-Commercial Vehicle Sector with ACT. In regards to pricing, he added, “As if on cue, meaningful amounts of inventory started showing up in some markets.”
The report provides data on the average used price for Class 8 models for each of the big OEMs. You can find out more here.
