The Marine Atlantic Good Samaritan Award went to Francois Noel, a driver with S. P. Noel was also given a gift by the Kentville Police Department, who nominated him for the Good Samaritan honor.

Robert Power, recently retired president and general manager of Commercial Safety College (CSC), Masstown, N.S., was presented with the Safety to Motor Transportation Award, sponsored by AXA Global Risks Canada. He was honored for his 36-year career in transportation, and especially for overseeing a number of innovations and improvements for CSC’s truck-driver training curriculum.
