TORONTO — The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) and Bridgestone are accepting nominations for the 2012 Bridgestone Ontario Trucking Association Truck Hero Award.
Carriers are encouraged to nominate drivers who deserve to be recognized because of his/her courageousness, quick thinking and integrity in the face of an emergency.
To be eligible for the award, nominees must be Ontario truck drivers, employed full-time by an Ontario-based trucking company. The incident to be recognized must have taken place in North America between January 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012. All nominations are due by October, 15, 2012.
The Bridgestone Ontario Trucking Association Truck Hero Award will be presented at OTA’s annual convention in Toronto this November.
The winner will receive a $1500 cheque, a trophy, plus a trip for two to Toronto for the convention.
