Jim Park’s Truck Talk
Volume 1 Number 17

Trucking is tough enough at its easier moments, but where there’s a crowd watching you deftly wheel your truck through a difficult obstacle course, the pressure is turned up high. Canada’s National Truck Driving Championships brings together some of the best drivers in the country for some honest, head-to-head competition. We brought our mics to Ottawa for this year’s contest so you can meet some of the drivers and learn what 600 years of combined safe driving is all about.

On this edition of Truck Talk, we’ll find out what the obstacle course is all about, and meet four drivers, two rookies and two veterans, who qualified – top of the heap – in their provincial and regional championships held earlier this year.
