COLUMBUS, IN – The two month trend in the Used Class 8 truck market turned around in April, ACT Research reported, as volumes dropped and pricing rose.
“The average retail selling prices for a used Class 8 truck was $51,217 in April, up 8 percent month over month and 16 percent year-over-year,” explained Steve Tam, vice president-commercial vehicle sector with ACT.
Tam added that the appreciation in prices backs up their expectations for the long-term. "We believe year-over-year pricing growth will continue, but at a slower pace, as more trade-ins become available.”
