CMA and Double Coin Releases Two New Tires

The FD425

MONROVIA, CA — The China Manufacturers Alliance (CMA) and Double Coin Tires have released the FD425 for better mileage and the RSD3 for winter toughness.

For fuel-efficiency, they present the FD425 “OptiGreen” Series.

The FD425 is the fifth addition to EPA’s SmartWay-verified tire technologies, joining other Double Coin low-rolling-resistance tires: the FR605, FD405, FT105 and the FT125.

Aaron Murphy, Vice President of CMA, said Double Coin is trying to evolve its product line to meet the needs of the industry, the environment and the end user.

“Fleets and owner operators continue to examine ways to reduce their vehicles’ carbon footprint by improving fuel efficiency,” he said.

The FD425 also features advanced tread compounds, and a wider, low profile design for low rolling resistance.

The FD425 is now available in a 445/50R22.5 size and has a maximum carrying capacity of 10,200 lbs. (Load Index 161).

At their Las Vegas 2012 SEMA presentation, CMA and Double Coin also revealed their latest tire optimized for severe winter driving conditions:

“The new RSD3 offers significant value and performance in the toughest winter conditions by employing our latest in engineering designs and technologies,” Murphy said.
