Cobra’s New Inverter Line

From Cobra Electronics comes a new line of power inverters for truck drivers, with seven models in all up to 2500 watts. They feature 5V 2.1A USB output capabilities

So-called ‘Recreational’ models include the CPI 190 at US$39.95, able to power up any mobile device, small video game, or most compact laptops. It provides 130 watts continuous power with 260 watts peak power.

The CPI 290CH at US$49.95 is molded in the shape of a cup holder, providing 200 watts continuous power and 400 watts peak power.

Professional models feature all new designs with enough capacity to power up office equipment or household appliances, as well as any mobile device.

The CPI 490 at US$49.95 features 400 watts of continuous power and 800 watts peak power, Pentagon Protection, a ventilation system, Power/Fault/Alarm indicator, and cigarette lighter and direct-to-battery cables included.

The CPI 890, US$69.95, includes the above features as well as 800-watt continuous and 1600-watt peak power with direct-to-battery cables with clamps included.

The CPI 1090, at US$129.95, can keep a mini-fridge, coffee pot, or TV set powered through the long haul. It features a volt/watt LED meter, Pentagon Protection Plus, inductive kick-back protection, and GFI self-protection with 1000 watts continuous power and 2000 watts peak power. Direct-to-battery cables with clamps are also included.

The CPI 1590, US$189.95, includes three, grounded AC outlets and 1500 watts continuous power and 2500 watts peak power.

The biggest in the line is the CPI 2590, US$299.95, that’s said to provide the power for all the appliances a driver needs while away from home. It includes the above features with 2500 wCobra CPI 2590 power inverteratts continuous power and 5000 watts peak power.

All Cobra Power Inverter models are available this spring at travel centers and directly through the company’s website.
