BRAMPTON, ON - - Police believe they’ve located the truck involved in the hit-and-run that took place near Beamsville, ON, earlier this week.
According to local media reports, a body shop owner in Brampton alerted the police when a damaged white Volvo tractor was brought in for repairs a few hours after the fatal accident, which left an 11-year-old boy dead. Eight others were sent to the hospital with injuries. They were all passengers in a passenger van that allegedly was hit by the tractor trailer and then run off the road.
After the police announced the search for the hit-and-run driver, even the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) offered a donation of $4,000 to Crime Stoppers to help search for the missing driver and truck.
According to CITY Pulse news, police reported early Thursday they’re confident they can find the driver of the truck.
