BRAMPTON, ON./ LOUISVILLE, KY. — Daimler Trucks North America has selected Canadian-based Hankook tires as their new original tire manufacturer, the tire company announced today at MATS.
The agreement starts in May of this year with Hankook suppling the rubber for Freightliner's Cascadia and Coronado models. Freightliner's flagship trucks will be equipped with Hankook's AL11 steer and DL11 drive tires.
“As our growth continues throughout 2012 and in the years ahead, we look forward to extending not only this relationship but also expanding further in the premium truck tire market,” said Soo Il Lee, President, Hankook Tire America Corp
Both tires have EPA Smartway Certification for their environmental performance.
