Eaton Names New VP of Technology

GALESBURG, MI — Eaton has named Gerard DeVito, vice president of technology for vehicle group, effective November 1, 2015.

In his new role, DeVito will be responsible for leading and directing all engineering activities or the Vehicle Group to meet financial, growth, productivity and technology goals.

DeVito will be based in Galesburg, MI., and will report to Ken Davis, president of Eaton Vehicle Group and functionally to Jeff Lowinger, senior vice president and chief technology officer, Industrial Sector. 

“As we work to develop and commercialize new technologies to help our customers solve their most challenging issues, Gerard is ideally suited to lead the teams that will deliver our next generation of breakthrough technologies,” Davis said. 

DeVito has worked for Eaton for the past 27 years, most recently as director of next generation transmissions, North America Truck.  Prior to that, he was director of engineering for the hybrid business. He began his career with Eaton in engineering before moving into market development and regional sales positions.
