Former Sylectus Head Joins Trucking Software Start-Up

TORONTO — The co-founder and former president of a transportation management software (TMS) company for expedited trucking operations who retired last year is back, taking the helm of a new TMS company for fleets.

Stuart “Stu” Sutton has joined Full Circle TMS as president and CEO after leaving Sylectus in June 2014, the company he helped start in 2001 and sold to Omnitracs in 2011.

Full Circle is described in a news release as “a start-up company in web-based TMS for progressive fleets.”

“This TMS will be written from scratch, but incorporate many of the lessons I’ve learned over the years on what works and what doesn’t work when making a world-class TMS solution” said Sutton. “Furthermore, we will be developing the TMS using the latest database, user-interface and programming languages that easily port to desktop, web and mobile platforms.”

Derek Comartin has been hired as vice-president of engineering for Full Circle TMS.

“We get to work on a technology project with brand-new tools and techniques while most of the TMS competition is using twenty-year-old tools,” said Comartin. “And to work with a visionary like Stuart Sutton who has a solid reputation for consistently delivering successful new products and concepts to the industry is very stimulating.”
