INGERSOLL, ON — One of the brightest spots in the southeastern Ontario economy shone just a little brighter, as of last week.
The Ingersoll Axles (a division of IMT Company), based in the town of the same name, took its maiden bow at the huge Mid America Trucking Show in Kentucky with the introduction of a line of Ontario-built heavy-duty suspensions.
Ingersoll Axles has been building axles since 1947 and ranks among the industry leaders for steerable axles.
Last week in Louisville, this Canadian manufacturing success story announced that after several years in development, Ingersoll is launching the Ingersoll Suspension System (ISS).
The system, Ingersoll says, has been engineered for durability, strength and customization.
“The suspension is designed to fit your trailer, not a trailer designed around a suspension,” the company said in its official statement.
The ISS features an optimum i-beam trailing beam design, a fully wrapped axle connection, industry-standard parts, and, Ingersoll adds, “unparalleled customer support.”
Ingersoll Axles aims to become a one-stop shop for anyone wishing to purchase one of their current axle offerings (standard, drop centre, steerable, in-line, etc), as well any of their 15 new suspension designs.
