International HX Series at Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show

MONCTON, NB — An International truck dealership with locations in Moncton, Dartmouth, Saint John and Truro, is unveiling the new International HX Series for the first time in Atlantic Canada.

East Coast International Trucks Inc. (ECI) is bringing the HX series to the Moncton Coliseum Complex on April 7 – 8 at Atlantic Canada’s most comprehensive heavy equipment show.

“This is the first new product launch we’ve had since 2010, so as a dealer we are very excited,” announced David Lockhart, president of East Coast International Trucks Inc. “The idea behind the HX Series is to be a premium vocational product for International Truck — a product that will put us back into a leading position in the vocational market.”

The HX represents International’s first new model since 2010. Four HX Series models will be available: the HX515, a 115-inch BBC set-forward axle straight truck; a HX615, a 115-inch BBC set-back axle truck or tractor; the HX620, a 120-inch BBC set-back axle truck or tractor; and a fourth model, the HX520 - a 120-inch BBC set-forward truck or tractor intended for heavy applications. The 515 and 615 will be powered by Navistar’s N13 engine while the HX520 and HX620 will get Cummins ISX15 power.

“The launch of the HX Series, along with the recent Over-the-Air Reprogramming and ISL engine announcement was a great way to start the year for International,” added Lockhart. “We are placing orders already for the HX and are eager to see them get to work in the Maritimes provinces.”
