Isuzu engine durability
Isuzu has increased the B10 rating of its 4HK1-TC diesel engine to about 600,000 kilometers. This is the point where 10% of engines would require a major repair or rebuild. The previous B10 ratings were at 500,000 kilometers.
The turbocharged, intercooled, four-cylinder 5.2-liter engine generates 215 horsepower. It can be found in Isuzu NPR-HD, NPR-XD, NGQ, and NRR truck models as well as the 2018 FTR Class 6.
