MISSISSAUGA — The acquisition became effective on Sept. 30, 2012, putting JTR as the top provider of transport refrigeration equipment and service in Eastern Canada, the company said in a statement.
"The combination of TKEC with our years of industry experience will provide our customers an unparalleled level of service and support," said John O'Dwyer, president of JTR.
JTR service technicians have been serving the transport refrigeration industry for over 25 years, working with a variety of brands, including Thermo King.
"JTR was the obvious choice to become the partner that will enable our continued growth in Eastern Canada," said Ken Hartman, director of dealer development for Thermo King in North America.
JTR will utilize TKEC's existing locations and product offerings to better serve their customers, the company explained. Likewise, JTR said their industry expertise, financial stability, and operations will help strengthen Thermo King's position in Eastern Canada.
