Manitoulin Wins Parts Carrier of the Year Award

GORE BAY, ON – Manitoulin Transport won the Parts Carrier of the Year award from Toyota Canada.

“Manitoulin Transport is an important part of ensuring our company and dealerships can offer excellence in meeting our customer’s needs,” said Tony Kelly, VP, Toyota Canada Inc.

Manitoulin Transport was launched in 1960 from the village of Gore Bay, on the North shore of Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron, with a population of 900. Founder Doug Smith started delivering freight from Toronto to Northern Ontario. His son Gord is the current CEO and Manitoulin is an international multi-service logistics operation.

The award honors a parts logistic company for its customer service, performance transit time, quality and response.

“[We] recognize the competitive advantages that Manitoulin builds into its service model including extra driver training with a focus on excellence in on-load and off-load procedures to ensure consistent and damage free deliveries to our dealerships each day,” Toyota Canada stated.
