Marc Moncion Joins Canada Cartage Team

TORONTO, ON — Canada Cartage has appointed Marc Moncion as national director of safety and compliance.

“Moncion’s background and leadership in environmental, health, safety and transportation compliance will further strengthen [our already strong] team,” said Jeff Lindsay, president and CEO of Canada Cartage.

Founded in 1914, Canada Cartage started as a for-hire carrier with just one horse and cart but has grown to operate across Canada with terminals and distribution centres in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.

Moncion comes to Canada Cartage with over 25 years of experience in the transportation sector. Most recently, Moncion was the director of transportation compliance for a provider of environmental, energy industrial, and transportation services throughout North America. And before that, he was the national director of safety and training services for a trucking insurance company in Canada.

Moncion also has experience with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Carrier Safety Enforcement Branch, where he worked in several leadership roles in enforcement, strategic, operational, and business planning roles.

To add to his resume, he has been previously nominated for the Ontario Amethyst Award, presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in client service, innovation, and professional achievement in the public service field.

“As a recognized and widely-respected industry leader and an approachable, family man, Moncion is an exceptional addition to the Canada Cartage System LP team,” Lindsay said.
