Maverick Oilfield Services Snaps Up Latigo Trucking

CALGARY, AB—Maverick Oilfield Services announced that it has acquired Latigo Trucking Ltd.

“The opportunity to add Latigo to our portfolio of companies enhances our growth strategy,” said Chris Challis, Maverick CEO. “Finding a transportation company with similar values made this combination move forward with ease.”

The move comes as the oil and gas magnate looks to expand its transportation side of the business in and around Calgary, where Maverick has recently established a new base of operations.

Latigo will continue their operations under the same name, according to co-owners Murray Wozniak and Wayne Anderson.

“After owning and operating Latigo for 20 years, Maverick gave us the opportunity to hand over the reins to a company with a shared commitment to growth,” Wozniak said. “Maverick’s leadership team has the experience and business ethics to provide Latigo continued development in a vibrant oilfield market.”

Mike Schnell, president and founder of Maverick, commented: “Wayne and Murray have built an exceptional company, and it is our commitment that Maverick will continue to build on their solid reputation.”
