BUFFALO, NY – Innovative Transportation Services, an affiliate of the family-owned Sonwil Distribution Center, has officially launched cross-border transportation services.

“Buffalo is located on Canada’s doorstep – minutes from Southern Ontario and 65 miles to the Greater Toronto Area,” said Peter Wilson, president and Chief Executive Officer of Sonwil Distribution Center. “We hope to expand our clients’ cross border trade by supporting the movement of freight for our current and prospective clients between the U.S. and Canada, at a lower cost and in an eco-friendly way.”

The niche trucking operation, which serves Western New York and Southern Ontario, cites its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fleet as a competitive advantage.

Innovative Transportation Services is a subsidiary of Sonwil’s Transportation and Consolidation Services, which for 30 years has “advised clients on transportation alternatives and outsourcing”, the company adds. Sonwil itself has locations in Elmira, New York; Carlstadt, New Jersey; Reno, Nevada; and Dallas, Texas, and has been in business for more than 70 years.
