Navistar's Fleet Charge celebrates 30th anniversary
LISLE, IL – Navistar is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its private label purchasing program Fleet Charge. Originally launched in 1987, the program provides customers with guaranteed pricing, consolidated billing, and a dedicated credit line and is accepted at more than 650 International and IC Bus dealer locations in the U.S. and Canada.
The program was created as a means for large, national accounts to experience greater continuity across the dealer network. Fleet Charge aided in centralizing parts Request for Proposal, analyzing a customer’s full retail potential when negotiating pricing and systematically managing compliance with pricing agreements across Navistar’s entire dealer network.
“Fleet Charge demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with unmatched options to manage their fleet maintenance and repairs,” said Carlos Junquera, vice president of North America sales and parts. “Furthermore, it allows our dealers to provide customers with highly customizable programs to meet their enterprise needs and help them grow their business.”
Navistar is now building on the foundation of Fleet Charge as they offer services like Fleet Charge Select and Fleet Charge Advantage which provide similar advantages to mid and small sized fleets.
According to Navistar, the Fleet Charge program has more than doubled since its 20th anniversary in 2007, with more than 2000 fleets benefitting from the International Truck and IC Bus dealer network. The company said with current market trends, they’re looking to double the program again by its 35th anniversary.
This year, Navistar will be implementing a number of initiatives designed to drive return business in International dealerships. As of April 1, new customers can apply for their Fleet Charge account online with the use of an electronic submission tool on the Fleet Charge website. In the near future, customers will be able to view their cumulative savings and receive guaranteed discounts on retail promotions.
