New Mobil Delvac 1300

Mobil Oil
Mobil has reformulated its Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 to provide new detergent/dispersant chemistry that controls sludge, piston deposits, and premature wear of rings and linings. The company says it also increases soot-handling, helps extend drain intervals, “and is an evolutionary step toward PC-9,” the next service category requirements set by the American Petroleum Institute, scheduled to take effect in mid-2002.
The new formulation is ideal for low-emission engines, which run hotter and generate more soot and acidity. Mobil Delvac 1300 Super currently exceeds API’s CH-4 requirements, as well as Cummins CES 20076, Volvo VDS-2, and Mack EO-M Plus extended-drain specifications.
