New TV Show Looking For Foodie Truckers

by 2006 November

TORONTO — Are you a driver that travels the country? Do you love food and discovering new places to eat while on the road? Have you ever wished people appreciated your underrated cooking ability? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might just end up with your own TV show.

One television channel is developing a new show that aims to follow an outgoing, personable truck driver on their travels around Canada. Most of us (probably all of us) in this industry do love good food, and have perhaps found a few secret places we just can’t pass without stopping for a bite to eat.

What you need to be counted as a contender:

  • A job as a trucker;
  • A love for food;
  • At least some cooking ability and food knowledge (no, boiling a box of mac and cheese on your overheated engine block doesn’t count—neither does mixing together four different flavors of Ruffles at 2 a.m.);
  • Outgoing personality, comfortable in front of cameras.

We know you’re out there. We want to see you on TV. If you tick the boxes, you can get more details and apply here: http://www.julescasting.com/content/opencalls.
