ST. STEPHEN, N.B. -- The new port of entry in Calais will be open for all commercial vehicle traffic starting on Nov. 16 at 9:00 am EST.

At that time the Customs and Border Protection crossings at Ferry Point and Milltown in Calais will no longer accept any commercial traffic.

The same goes for northbound truck traffic heading to Canada.

Access to the new port of entry is from the new New Brunswick four-lane highway through St. Stephen. For commercial traffic destined to Canada, access to the Canadian facility will be from the roundabout on US Route 1.

Any commercial vehicle that arrives at either the Ferry Point or Milltown crossing in Calais will be turned around.
