NEW DROPDECKS & A TRUCK PC

Fontaine Trailer Company leads the way this week with three new low-deck-height platform models added to the Infinity product family. There's a 48-ft spread axle, 53-ft rear-axle slide, and 53-ft rear-axle slide with twist locks to accommodate shipping containers. All of them feature a 36-in. loaded deck height.

From Rand McNally there's a new and very different hardware design along with other upgrades for its top-end mobile communication fleet management system, the TruckPC. The new model TPC 7600, at just under US$1200, is about one-third the size of the prior-generation mounted device,

If you're a Peterbilt or Kenworth loyalty card holder, PACCAR Parts has a reward program that can save you significant money on parts and services. Costs nothing to register for a card.

At PPG Commercial Coatings there's a new Delfleet Essential Basecoat paint product for what the company calls "value-conscious fleet refinishers and collision centers."

And from a Canadian company called Nemalux, which does some very sophisticated lighting work, comes the GSLEDIP two-in-one, LED lighting system for industrial and low-light applications. It can switch from bright white to subtle red light for night-time visibility.
