Oliver SmartWay Retread

Oliver Rubber has announced the launch of the PD Drive, an open-shouldered, SmartWay-verified drive-position retread for linehaul and regional applications.

It’s claimed to provide a combination of low rolling resistance, tread life, and traction with “bottom-line fuel economy”.

Oliver, a subsidiary of Michelin North America, says its proprietary tread compounding delivers good tread wear and very low rolling resistance, while the open shoulder delivers increased traction. For both single- and tandem-axle tractors, the PD Drive has 22/32nds of tread depth and is available in four sizes:  205, 215, 220 and 230. All Oliver retreads carry a national warranty to 2/32nds of tread depth.
