OnCommand Connection now standardOnCommand Connection, the remote diagnostics system from International Truck, has been improved and it’s now standard on all the company’s trucks.

Fleets with model-year 2007 and newer International trucks or competitive vehicles will also have the opportunity to obtain OnCommand Connection through International dealers free of charge. Navistar says it has “a responsibility to make the uptime benefits of OnCommand Connection available to the entire industry.”

International has also announced a credit for base-model telematics hardware and two years of data service on International-branded vehicles upon activation. Customers looking to upgrade from the basic telematics package will also have access to a retail parts program to offset the costs.

The company also launched a website dedicated to OnCommand Connection to serve as a destination for educational material on the system. It includes information about telematics partners, training and portal access. Customers can also enrol in OnCommand Connection through the website.
