Ontario insurance brokers launch new telematics program

TORONTO, ON – Independent Broker Resources Inc. (IBRI), has launched a customizable telematics program called Fleetadvisor.

It is available through insurance brokers and at the Fleetadvisor website. www.fleetadvisor.ca.

This broker-owned telematics solution was designed and produced by IBRI to help fleet managers reduce operational risks and costs, as well as improve vehicle maintenance.  Fleetadvisor includes the provision of an overall driving score for each driver in order to assess and improve road behavior and fleet safety.

The data collected by telematics devices installed in the vehicles is owned by the fleet, and can be viewed by brokers with the fleet manager’s consent.

“The IBAO is very pleased to announce the launch of Fleetadvisor which not only will enable fleet managers to better control their business risk within their fleets, but also offer our member brokers a value added product to support their commercial clients,” said Michael Brattman, president of IBAO.

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is a ‘not for profit’ association that represents and serves the interests of over 12,000 independent property and casualty insurance brokers in the province of Ontario.
