Pegasus TransTech Snaps Up ACS Advertising, Trippak

TAMPA, FL — Pegasus TransTech has purchased ACS Advertising and TripPak from Xerox, a move that puts them in the heavyweight category of the transportation document management and invoice services game.

ACS Advertising specializes in driver recruitment while TripPak provides transport industry services such as workflow management, document capture, and safety and compliance products.

Pegasus CEO and President Frank Adelman said that teaming up with ACS and TripPak will allow truck drivers and fleets to more efficiently comply with regulations, capture revenue faster, and gain better insight into revenue management processes.

“We are excited about the opportunity to join forces with TripPak and ACS Advertising and offer solutions that range from mobile document management to truck stop scanning and drop boxes,” Adelman said. “We will now be able to pool our resources and accelerate the pace of new product development.”

The company serves 42 of the top 50 American and Canadian carriers, 17 of the top 30 freight brokers, over 350,000 drivers and over 900 truck stops across North America. Although terms of the sale were not disclosed, bringing TripPak into the fold adds another 500 truck stops and 1,200 document submission drop boxes.

Xerox originally purchased Affiliated Computer Services, which included ACS TripPak Services, for $6.4 billion in 2009.
