RE-POSITIONED FUEL TANKS

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. has announced that buyers of its 2013 model FUSO Canter FE Series trucks can order their vehicles with an optional, factory-installed 33-gallon fuel tank mounted on the outside of the frame rail on the left side of the cab-chassis. The optional side-mounted tank replaces the standard 30-gallon tank located between the frame rails aft of the rear axle.

For certain body applications, the in-frame tank may prove awkward for fill-pipe routing or can interfere with body mounting. The optional side-mounted fuel tank eliminates those issues and offers the truck buyer and body builder an easy alternative, especially for rollback wreckers, wheel-lift stingers and short overhang dry vans with lift gates. The replacement side fuel tank is a no-cost option available on all FUSO Canter FE125, FE160 (both single- and crew-cab) and FE180 models except those with the shortest 110.2-inch wheelbase
