TROY, Mich. – Carsten Reinhardt, formerly chief operating officer for Meritor, has left to pursue other opportunities, the company reports.
Meritor says it does not plan to replace this position.
However, it did shake up other parts of the corporate tree.
Meritor's board of directors has appointed Tim Bowes to vice president and president of the company's Commercial Truck division.
Previously responsible for Meritor's Industrial segment, Bowes will now assume responsibility for the company’s drivetrain systems and components, including axles, drivelines, braking and suspension systems, primarily for medium and heavy duty trucks in North America, South America and Europe.
Meanwhile, Pedro Ferro was tapped to take over as president of the Industrial segment and was also named executive officer. He was formerly vice president, Strategic Business Performance.
He is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s business in off-highway, military, bus and coach, fire and emergency, and other industrial applications.
Both Ferro and Bowes will report directly to Chip McClure, chairman, CEO and president.
Joe Mejaly, vice president and president, will continue to manage the Aftermarket & Trailer business segment in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America and Asia Pacific.
He is focused on expanding the Aftermarket parts and distribution business, in addition to developing and growing Meritor’s remanufacturing and Aftermarket Services businesses.
Mary Lehmann, senior vice president, will assume responsibility for Corporate Strategy in addition to her existing responsibilities for Treasury, Tax, Corporate Development, Communications and Investor Relations.
