Report: Mexican highway tolls going up

MEXICO CITY (Jan. 13) — Tolls on Mexican highways will increase an average 16% starting Saturday, according to Reforma, a Mexico City newspaper.

The increases will apply to bridges along the U.S.-Mexican border at Laredo, Matamoros, and Piedras Negras, and other crossings, and to toll highways the government took over to bail out their private-sector partners, the paper said.
