				<p>Both the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) and the Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) have put out calls looking for 2013-2014 Road Knights.</p>
<p>Unlike a certain big screen Knight, the work is a little less challenging but no less important. Road Knights travel their respective province to speak to community groups, safety organizations, schools, and car clubs. They play a key role in enhancing public understanding of how to safely share the road with a truck, the professionalism of truck drivers, the critical role played by the industry and the numerous careers that the industry offers.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The drivers who make up the AMTA Road Knights Team build bridges with the community. They are invaluable for putting a human face on the trucking industry and for delivering factual information about road safety and the vast array of careers that exist in the industry,&rdquo; said AMTA President Dan Duckering of Duckering Transport.</p>
<p>The program is open to both company drivers and owner-operators, and both organizations provide training for giving speeches and presentations, as well as media training.</p>
