ROTELLA FOR EXTREME COLD

Shell Rotella T6 0W-40

Shell Lubricants has expanded its portfolio of low-viscosity synthetic engine oils with the introduction of Rotella T6 0W-40, a full synthetic oil designed for extreme cold conditions. The new heavy-duty diesel lube uses free-flowing synthetic base oils that are said to allow reliable pumping on start-up in extreme cold while remaining thick enough under high-temperature operation to protect against engine wear.

Shell Rotella T6 0W-40 meets the following specifications: API CJ-4, API SN, Volvo VDS-3, Mack EO-N and Caterpillar ECF-3, ECF-2, ECF-1A.

All Rotella T6 full synthetic oils, says Shell, feature an advanced multi-functional, low-ash additive technology in a synthetic base oil designed to provide protection that continuously adapts to driving conditions.

The Shell Rotella Energized Protection product portfolio is led by three premium heavy-duty engine oils that are part of a tiered “ladder of protection”. They include Rotella T6 Full Synthetic, Rotella T5 Synthetic Blend Technology, and Shell Rotella T Triple Protection engine oils.
