Shadow Brings Light to Cancer Charities

LANGLEY, B.C. — The Shadow Group of Companies has announced a series of partnerships that are anything but shady. The Langley, B.C.-based company is working with two of its customers to raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) and the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) over the next three years.

“I wanted to partner with organizations that were instantly recognizable, so people instantly understand the message we’re trying to get out there,” says Rob Reid, president of Shadow Group. “Ultimately, we hope it motivates and reminds people in the community that we can all help support the cause in our own way.”

One partnership will be with one of Shadow’s customers, Graymont. Shadow Group has outfitted two Super-B tankers with CBCF colours and decals. If you’re looking to spot this truck on the road, keep your eyes peeled in Alberta. Graymont and Shadow will each donate $500 a month to CBCF for the next three years.

Shadow and Lehigh Cement are also entering into a similar partnership. Lehigh has decked out two of its own 22-foot tankers with CCS colours and the organization’s signature daffodils. The CCS tankers will be around British Columbia, particularly the Lower Mainland.

For the next three years, Shadow and Lehigh will both donate $500 a month to the Canadian Cancer Society. Adding these partnerships up, over three years these companies will have donated $72,000 towards the cancer charities.
