SLH Transport Celebrating 30th Birthday

TORONTO, ON – A trucking company that was formed as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sears Canada is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month as a for-hire carrier.

SLH Transport Inc. says while the retailer continues to be one of its largest customers, it has a customer based of more than 400 clients, using multiple service offerings through its diversified asset operations and growing logistics group.

“We continue to expand our service offering and provide a more integrated service package to our customers,” said Paul Cooper, president, of SLH Transport. “Celebrating our 30th year is a proud moment at SLH, and we sincerely thank the loyal customers, employees and drivers that made this milestone possible.”

SLH has been recognized as an employer of choice in the trucking industry, winning the Top Fleet Employer’s award from Trucking Human Resources Canada for two years running and was a pilot carrier in the introduction and expansion of the long combination vehicle programs in Canada.

The company has a network of 13 terminals strategically located across Canada supported by 700 power units, 3000 trailers and a logistics division of long standing partner carriers, making it one of Canada largest freight transportation providers.
